Actis, a sustainable infrastructure-focused investor, is gearing up to invest up to USD 2.5 billion in India across the next four years. Their focus lies within the energy transition, digital infrastructure, and logistics and warehousing sectors, eyeing potential opportunities in these domains.
The investment strategy primarily emphasises the energy sector, where Actis holds a significant presence in renewable energy investments, managing utility-scale power plants with substantial gigawatt capacities. In India, Actis is establishing its third renewable energy platform Bluepine Energy, while also exploring diverse investments within the energy sector.
Beyond renewable energy, Actis has its sights set on the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment, supplying green energy to industrial units and commercial real estate. The investor also aims to allocate considerable capital to areas such as data centres, industrial warehousing, transmission, distribution, and associated infrastructure.
