The long-dormant Krazy Castle Aqua Park site in Nagpur is set for a major revival, with Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MahaMetro) planning a large theme park and commercial hub under a public-private partnership model.
Spread across 5.3 acres near Ambazari Lake, the project will sit adjacent to the Dharampeth College Metro Station, ensuring direct metro connectivity. MahaMetro has already floated an Expression of Interest, marking the first step towards execution.
The development will feature a Global Village-inspired theme park covering nearly 5 acres, alongside a smaller commercial parcel. Existing replicas of global landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, and Statue of Liberty will be integrated into the upgraded attraction.
Planned experiences include amusement rides, indoor gaming, entertainment zones, food courts, and event spaces, along with retail and banquet facilities in the commercial section.
With a concession period extending to 2051, the project is expected to emerge as a high footfall destination while supporting MahaMetro’s broader transit-oriented development strategy.
