Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, has announced that the foundation stone for the proposed Adilabad Airport will be laid on Telangana Formation Day. The project is expected to improve connectivity in the district, which has historically faced transport limitations.
The state government secured approval for the airport following discussions with the Centre. The Chief Minister emphasised that the development will open new avenues for economic growth in the region.
Outlining a broader vision, Reddy stated that Adilabad will be developed as a hub for industry, education, and tourism. Land acquisition is underway for a proposed university, while Rs 225 crore has been sanctioned for the development of the Basara Gnana Saraswati Temple. Additional funding may be allocated as required.
He further highlighted that development works and welfare schemes are being implemented across constituencies, with a focus on inclusive growth and improved infrastructure.
