₹302 Cr Boost for Two Bridges in Narmada District

Bhupendra Patel has approved ₹302.40 crore for the construction of two key bridges in Gujarat’s Narmada district, aiming to strengthen connectivity across remote tribal regions.

The project includes ₹123.13 crore for a bridge between Rengan Ghat and Rampura Ghat, and ₹179.27 crore for another linking Shaherav Ghat to Tilakwada Ghat. Together, the bridges are expected to benefit over 18,000 residents across 11 villages, including Tilakwada, Vasan, Rengan, Rampura, Mangrol, and Shaherav.

Beyond easing daily commutes, the infrastructure will play a critical role during monsoons, when access is often disrupted. Students and local communities will gain more reliable routes to schools, colleges, and essential services.

The bridges are also set to support large-scale movement during the annual Uttarvahini Parikrama, reducing travel distance by 17 kilometres and improving overall mobility for pilgrims.

The move aligns with Gujarat’s broader push to enhance regional infrastructure and connectivity, complementing developments such as GIFT City, which continues to position the state as a growing hub for finance, industry, and urban development.
