Andhra Pradesh Approves District-Level Logistics Facilitation Cells

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the establishment of District Level Logistics Facilitation Cells across all districts to streamline infrastructure development and improve coordination for key projects.

The decision follows a proposal from the Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited (APADCL). In a government order issued by MT Krishna Babu, Special Chief Secretary of the Infrastructure and Investment Department, the state cleared the formation of these cells to accelerate developments related to aviation, logistics and other infrastructure projects.

The newly created cells will focus on ensuring land readiness for upcoming developments. Their responsibilities will include facilitating land alienation and acquisition, removing encroachments, and monitoring compensation and rehabilitation processes, helping reduce delays often associated with project implementation.

The cells will also support utilities and connectivity planning, including preparing estimates and following up on approvals for dedicated power supply and bulk water supply up to project boundaries.

By strengthening coordination between district administrations and state agencies, the initiative aims to speed up project execution and support the growth of logistics and aviation infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh, improving overall investment readiness in the state.
