Websol Renewable Private Limited will invest ₹3,538 crore to set up an 8 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing the State’s emergence as a major clean-energy manufacturing hub. Approved by the Andhra Pradesh government, the greenfield project will come up at MPSEZ–Naidupeta in Tirupati district with 4 GW solar cell and 4 GW solar module capacity.
Spread over 120 acres and developed in two phases, the facility is expected to generate around 2,000 direct jobs, with commercial production slated for July 2027 and July 2028. To ensure cost-efficient and sustainable operations, land has also been allotted for captive solar power, including a planned 100 MW plant.
The project has received tailor-made incentives under the AP Industrial Development Policy 2024–29, covering land, capital subsidy, power tariff reimbursement and statutory exemptions. The investment significantly expands Websol’s manufacturing footprint and strengthens Naidupeta’s position as a growing solar manufacturing cluster.
