Japan’s Yamato Group has opened its largest overseas logistics facility in India, strengthening its presence as manufacturing activity accelerates under the “Make in India” push. The NH8 (Sidhrawali) Logistics Centre in Haryana, operated by Yamato Logistics India Pvt. Ltd. (YLI), will serve as a key hub for domestic and international supply chains.
Located along the Delhi–Mumbai industrial corridor, the facility spans about 24,900 sq. m and is close to major industrial parks, inland container depots and Indira Gandhi International Airport. Designed to Japanese standards, the centre offers advanced contract logistics services, including just-in-time deliveries, cross-docking, distribution processing and temperature-controlled storage for precision equipment.
Yamato said the centre will support automakers and manufacturers of electrical, semiconductor, and high-value equipment that are expanding production in India and catering to markets in the Middle East and Africa. Aligned with its sustainability goals, the company plans to introduce solar power and EV trucks, helping customers reduce supply-chain emissions while improving logistics efficiency.
