Daikin Industries Limited, a leading Japanese multinational, has announced plans to invest ₹1,000 crore to establish a state-of-the-art Research and Development (R&D) centre in Haryana. This strategic move underscores Daikin’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement, aiming to bolster its presence in the Indian market and enhance its global competitiveness.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this venture was signed in Osaka, Japan, during a visit by Haryana’s Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, accompanied by a high-level delegation. Moreover, it is expected to foster collaboration between Indian and Japanese industries, strengthening bilateral ties and facilitating knowledge exchange.
This investment is part of a broader initiative by the Haryana government to attract foreign direct investment and promote industrial development in the state. By providing a conducive environment for research and development, Haryana aims to position itself as a global innovation destination, attracting leading companies from various sectors.
