IndoSpace Commits ₹1,037 Crore to Develop Logistics Park in Pune’s Chakan

Industrial infrastructure leader IndoSpace has announced a major investment of ₹1,037 crore (approximately $120 million) to set up a 188-acre logistics park in Chakan, Pune. This expansion aims to deliver advanced warehousing and distribution facilities catering to the growing needs of industrial clients, including those in the steel sector. The new park will enhance supply chain infrastructure in one of India’s most prominent manufacturing hubs, which already hosts major firms across automotive, engineering, and heavy industries.

Chakan’s strategic location-well-connected to the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, Pune–Nashik Highway, and Pune–Aurangabad corridor-makes it an ideal logistics gateway. The upcoming park will feature Grade-A infrastructure, suitable for storage and handling of large, heavy goods like steel coils, plates, and structural components. This is expected to support just-in-time deliveries and reduce logistics costs for steel producers and allied industries operating in and around the Pune region.

IndoSpace’s growing footprint in Maharashtra includes multiple logistics parks, with this new development strengthening its position as a leading industrial real estate provider. The company has already developed over 17 lakh sq. ft. in its first phase of operations in Chakan and plans to scale up its offerings in response to rising demand for organised, tech-enabled warehousing.

The investment reflects IndoSpace’s commitment to supporting India’s industrial growth and infrastructure-led economic development. It also highlights the growing synergy between the logistics and steel sectors, with high-quality warehousing solutions enabling smoother distribution and inventory management for steel-related firms.
