Jindal Steel & Power Emerging as Major Supplier of High-Rise Structural Steel

Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) is increasingly earning recognition as a pivotal supplier of structural steel for high-rise buildings across India. A standout collaboration is the DLF Downtown Tower A&B project in Chennai, where JSP has supplied high-grade E350 structural steel, working closely with design consultants and fabricators to tailor its offerings for sophisticated urban developments.

A case study also highlights JSP’s role in shaping India’s high-rise skyline, offering flexible beam sizes and grid layouts to suit diverse architectural needs. JSP’s collaboration with structural consultants and fabricators such as Eversendai Construction Pvt Ltd has enabled the delivery of steel frameworks that meet stringent engineering and finish standards.

JSP’s structural steel offering is underscored by its BIS certification license for producing fire-resistant steel (IS 15103 grade), capable of withstanding temperatures up to 600 °C for up to three hours. This positions JSP to support enhanced safety standards in vertical buildings and critical infrastructure projects.

More broadly, JSP is innovating across its Construction Solutions Business, offering end-to-end steel building services-covering fabrication, design, and Project Management. Leveraging high-strength steels like E550 and E450 grades, JSP aims to reduce structural weight and streamline project costs and timelines. Advanced technologies, such as Speedfloor (quick-install flooring) and cut‑and‑bend TMT rebar systems, further enhance delivery efficiency in high-tech construction segments including commercial towers, data centers, multi-level parking, and industrial facilities. Industry observers cite JSP’s approach as a compelling evolution in India’s high-rise construction sector. By aligning premium grade materials, fire safety credentials, integrated engineering services, and fabrication capabilities, JSP is gaining ground as a preferred structural steel partner for developers and architects in metro cities.

With urban cores expanding upward, demand for performance steel in vertical infrastructure is rising-and JSP appears poised to capitalise on that shift.
