AM/NS India Unveils Optigal® Prime and Pinnacle to Propel ‘Viksit Bharat’ Initiative

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has launched two advanced color-coated steel products—Optigal® Prime and Optigal Pinnacle—aimed at bolstering India’s infrastructure sector and aligning with the ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative. These products are designed to meet the diverse climatic and industrial demands of the country’s rapidly growing construction landscape.

Optigal Prime is tailored for urban and moderately corrosive environments, offering a 15-year warranty. It is available in finishes such as Silicon Modified Polyester (SMP), Super Durable Polyester (SDP), and PVDF, making it ideal for roofing, cladding, and various construction needs.

Optigal® Pinnacle, the premium variant, is engineered for harsh industrial and coastal conditions. Backed by a 25-year warranty, it features high-performance PU/PA coatings that provide superior resistance to moisture, UV rays, and extreme temperatures, making it suitable for demanding applications like airports, warehouses, and marine-facing buildings.

Both products incorporate advanced Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium technology, offering up to three times the corrosion and weather resistance compared to conventional coatings. They are available in six specialized variants: High Gloss, Anti-Dust, Anti-Graffiti, Anti-Static, Anti-Microbial, and Cool Roof.

Manufactured at AM/NS India’s state-of-the-art facility in Pune, Maharashtra, these ‘Made in India’ products underscore the company’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The company currently has a color-coated steel capacity of approximately 700,000 tonnes annually, with plans to expand to one million tonnes in the near future.

“The launch of Optigal® Prime and Optigal® Pinnacle reflects our commitment to quality, durability, and sustainable innovation,” said Ranjan Dhar, Director and Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at AM/NS India. “As India’s infrastructure and construction needs evolve on the path to ‘Viksit Bharat’, we are proud to offer world-class, high-performance steel solutions that address diverse climatic and industrial demands.”

AM/NS India aims to capture a 25 per cent share in the domestic color-coated steel market, which is currently estimated at 3.4 million tonnes and growing at a rate of 10 per cent annually. The introduction of these specialized products positions the company to meet the increasing demand for high-quality steel solutions in India’s infrastructure sector.
