Satna Airport is scheduled to become operational in February 2025, fulfilling a long-standing demand for air connectivity in Madhya Pradesh’s Vindhya region. After receiving its operational license in October 2024, the airport is finalizing preparations, including the deployment of 58 security personnel approved by the state government to ensure safety from day one.
This airport will be the second in the Vindhya region, following Rewa Airport, and is expected to significantly enhance transportation infrastructure, fostering industrial growth and economic opportunities.
Simultaneously, plans are underway to expand Shivpuri Airport, with 291 acres of land identified for accommodating larger aircraft, including jets. Situated near the Uttar Pradesh border, this expansion aims to improve regional connectivity and economic cooperation between the two states.
The launch of Satna Airport and Shivpuri Airport’s expansion underscores Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to boosting air connectivity, enabling economic growth, and providing enhanced travel options for residents and businesses in the Vindhya region.
