Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved the Rs 29.91 billion extension of the Noida Metro Aqua Line from Sector-51 to Greater Noida Knowledge Park V. The expansion aims to improve connectivity, ease congestion, and create employment opportunities in the region.
The extension will cover 11 new stations across Noida and Greater Noida, including key locations such as Sector-51, Sector-61, Sector-70, Sector-122, Sector-123, and Knowledge Park V. A key feature of the project is the interchange hub at Noida Sector-61, which will connect the Aqua Line with the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line, enhancing connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida West, and Delhi.
The Aqua Line extension will help reduce traffic on the Noida-Greater Noida Link Road, streamline daily commutes, and promote sustainable, eco-friendly urban mobility. It is designed to improve access to existing metro networks and provide a more efficient transport system for the growing urban population.
