To expedite the Gurugram Metro rail project, Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) and the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) have formed two key committees: an executive committee and a coordination committee. These panels are designed to streamline the construction process by coordinating with various agencies and focusing on finalizing Metro viaduct alignment, operational structures, station locations, and intermodal transfer facilities.

The executive committee, consisting of senior officials from eight key departments, and the coordination committee, which includes 25 members from various agencies including GMDA and Gurugram traffic police, will ensure seamless coordination. They will also address the integration of public spaces and infrastructure improvements along the Metro route, such as rejuvenating green spaces and enhancing pedestrian connectivity.

GMRL, established by the Haryana government, is overseeing the 28.5 km Metro extension from Millennium City Centre to Cyber Hub, featuring 27 stations and two interchanges at Sector 29 and Palam Vihar. The committees’ efforts aim to ensure a well-connected and efficiently executed Metro expansion.
