The Maharashtra government has inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) totaling Rs 3.16 lakh crore with various companies in the green energy sector and for the establishment of a steel manufacturing plant, projecting the creation of 83,900 jobs in the state, as disclosed by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The signing ceremony took place at the Sahyadri Guest House in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis.
Additionally, a separate MoU was executed for the establishment of steel manufacturing plants powered by green energy in Maharashtra. An official reported that ArcelorMittal Nippon India and the Industries Department of the Maharashtra Government signed an MoU valued at Rs 40,000 crore, paving the way for the creation of 20,000 jobs in the state.
