Mohan Charan Majhi has unveiled a major industrial expansion drive in Odisha, launching and laying the foundation for 36 projects worth ₹40,811 crore in Khordha district. The initiative is set to generate around 59,000 jobs, marking a significant boost to the state’s economic landscape.
Spanning sectors such as green energy equipment, metals and downstream industries, textiles, plastics, tourism, food processing, defence manufacturing, IT, automobiles, and cement, the projects reflect a diversified investment strategy.
Addressing industry leaders, the Chief Minister assured strong administrative support and encouraged expansion of existing units while fostering ancillary and small-scale industries.
Positioning the development as a “new chapter” in Odisha’s growth story, the government aims to strengthen industrial infrastructure and attract sustained investments, reinforcing the state’s emergence as a key manufacturing and investment destination in India.
