India’s core sector registered a growth of 6.3 percent in August, marking the highest increase in thirteen months and reflecting a robust recovery in key industries. The growth was primarily driven by significant increases in steel, coal, and refinery product output, signalling strengthening industrial activity and greater momentum in infrastructure development across the country.
Steel production emerged as a major contributor, benefiting from rising domestic demand, accelerated infrastructure projects, and ongoing construction activities.
